But the songwriting and arrangements were still first-class, and every song is of high quality. Opener "From Under" is a quiet storm, focused on a drop-dead gorgeous violin-synth theme. "Chocolate Kings" may be PFM's best attempt at a hit radio single (in execution, not airplay)/5(7).

Jet Lag is the fifth album of the Italian progressive rock band Premiata Forneria Marconi, released in by Asylum Records in the US and Manticore Records in Europe. This album incorporates the use of fretless bass in the sound and has a jazzier feel in comparison to the band's previous efforts. Four of the five tracks with vocals are sung in English. "Cerco la Lingua" ("I Look for the Genre: Progressive rock.

On Chocolate Kings he tones it down a bit and actually sounds like a normal human being rather than a Slipper Man. The same influences are evident on Chocolate Kings but not to the point of slavish imitation as with his previous band. The opening track, "From Under", has a haunting melody played by violinist Mauro Pagani/5(6).

Oct 01,  · Chocolate Kings was PFM's fourth studio album sort of. The group recorded 3 Italian studio albums and those 3 were reworked into 2 albums released in the US. Some of the songs were reworked with English lyrics by Pete Sinfield who wrote the lyrics on many of the King Crimson songs/5(6).

Sep 09,  · PFM's last album L'isola di niente is probably my personal favourite in their discography. Chocolate Kings was their fourth studio album and also their first one which was released originally with English lyrics. That's nice I think but I'm afraid that this isn't musically as strong as their previous three records with Italian lyrics/5(25).
